Developing Self-esteem

One of the most important things a person brings to a relationship is how he feels about himself - his self-esteem. Self-esteem is extremely important in our relationships. Experts in this subject said that the children are more receptive when they feel good about themselves. When you feel good about yourself, your motivation is higher and you become more involved in everything you do. You feel positive! Nothing will stops you to achieve your goals.

Sometimes we feel so down and we think that we don't have any value...Wrong! You are of great value. Remember that you are a daughter of God and you have some divinity from Him. You have what you need inside you to improve yourself, use your creativity, imagination, talents and feel good about it. You can enjoy every moment of your life.

Whenever you feel down, think in good times when you felt good about yourself. Think of past successes. What did you accomplished? How did you felt? Bring that feeling toward you. When have you felt of greatest worth and why? What are your strengths? Also, count your blessings, read your scriptures, and other books that will uplift your spirit and make you feel good.

  1. This is so true!! We can also help other people discover their self-esteem by telling them positive things about them. I had low self esteem in high school but when I met my husband he told me often how talented I was, how pretty I was, how special I was and when you hear it enough you start to belive it. Tell others often that you love them and how they affect your life!!
